I used the stainless steel ring on the left to sandcast a copy in sterling silver. You can see how rouch and textured the band is from the sand. From there I use files and abrasive wheels on my dremel to smooth the surface. I love playing with different objects in the sandcasting. Just to see what patterns do well or don't do well. I've cast acorns, rings, twigs, and ingots using this process. I got my sandcasting kit from Craig Dabler on Etsy. Great casting tools and patterns for sale in his shop. He also has a great group...
I planted my feet here in Louisiana and have created my business and this passion for metalwork because of that simple coin ring he gifted me. Those trees, unfortunately, were lost during a storm this past year but the love story continues. This is the love that I hope to share through my creations. My tree designs were created with that love in my heart, my hands, and my spirit. From my hands to yours, I cherish each piece I send out into the world.
My jewelry is made to be worn more on a casual dress style. It works well with those everyday casual wear, office work or with a simple black dress for a night out. I don't create with flashy colors or stones because it's not "my" personal preference. I say all this because I want you to know that even though I don't create often outside that box, I CAN and WILL create more elaborate and upscale jewelry for anyone that requests it.
If you have an event coming up and want to create something special, we can do that together, with stones of your choice, and metal of your choice. Feel free to message me and we'll create something amazing together.
